Named to ASID board

0603-45CONCORD — Bartlett Design Associates announced that founder and managing associate Sue Bartlett has been elected to the board of directors of the New England Chapter of the America Society of Interior Designers (ASID).

Representing Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts, ASID New England has more than 18,000 members. All members must be certified and have passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) examination. Both the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) require successfully passing this national certification test as a prerequisite of professional membership.

Prior to establishing her consultancy, Bartlett worked as an interior designer for several architectural firms in Boston and New Hampshire. Bartlett’s local projects include designing commercial space for the Beaver Meadows golf clubhouse renovation, Aavid Thermalloy’s 32,000 square foot world headquarters at Horseshoe Pond, as well as designs for residences in Hollis, Newbury, Bow, Holderness, and Center Harbor.

Bartlett earned her bachelor of fine arts degree from Tufts University and the School of Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Subsequently, she studied at Chamberlayne College in Boston and was granted an associate degree of science in interior design. Bartlett has earned NCIDQ certification and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the International Interior Design Association.
